CAPE TOWN SHOOTING RANGE

The Firearm Training Academy is located at the end of Tercentenary Way, Glencairn, at one of Cape Town’s most popular shooting ranges, the False Bay Sport Shooting Club (FBSSC).

Although the Academy works closely with the Club to provide shooting experiences to all members of the public, ultimately, the Club and Academy are two separate entities.

On that note, the Academy features a fully licensed gun shop, classroom, and private shooting bays dedicated to Academy customers only. These shooting bays are designed for a wide selection of firearms (provided by the Academy), including pistols, rifles, shotguns, and the hugely popular 50 cal.

The bays are also undercover, cater to all weather conditions, and, unlike most indoor shooting ranges, they’re not crowded and offer…

• Terrific views of the bay and Simon’s Town Harbour
• Longer-distance shooting experiences
• Various steel plates, racks and dynamic / moving targets

Other facilities at the range include a clubhouse, licenced gunsmith, workshop, clay-pigeon shooting, and various firearm-training options, including Competency Training, Business Purpose Training, Tactical Firearm Training, and a list of short courses that cover situational awareness, anti-hijacking, first aid, and home protection.
